This is the place where my most beautiful projects were born; a secluded and strategic corner, an island, a place to escape from the ‘noise’ of my work and find new strength.
I feel good here, time has a different dimension: for me, it’s a retreat. Everything is still and everything moves, ancient features of a Sicilian café, new signs and the sounds of machines that will produce delicious cakes and exciting granitas.
I think of a film: “The Remains of the Day”. Caffè Sicilia is a set no less on stage just because it is unknown to the director.
A cup of coffee, half a slice of cake, a chat with my “brother” Corrado, always stimulating, a new day that begins well.
